# AiQ Technologies: research and redesign rationale

Research date: 5 October 2026. Prepared for Grant Van Wyk.

## Recommendation

Position AiQ as the practical AI partner for UK SMEs and mid-market businesses: senior technical judgement, focused implementation and people enablement in one connected engagement. Lead with the business outcome and make the next purchase understandable. Keep the existing three service pillars and AiQ Lens, but organise the journey around the questions a prospective buyer needs answered.

The proposed headline is “Make AI work. For your business.” The supporting copy explains the audience, the opportunity and AiQ’s involvement. “AI innovation powered by human insight” remains a supporting brand idea. The mock-up uses the supplied cyan-and-black logo, a white editorial canvas, navy sections, strong typography and a geometric delivery model. It avoids generic robot imagery and unsubstantiated performance counters.

This is a qualitative review of seven supplier pages covering six consultancies, plus AiQ’s current homepage and two existing articles. It is not a comprehensive market census, customer study, SEO audit or independent verification of competitor delivery claims. Supplier statements and prices describe their published offers on the research date.

## Current-site assessment

Source: [AiQ homepage](https://aiqtech.ai/).

The site already introduces advisory, development and training, provides a readiness call to action, publishes AiQ Lens articles and lists a contact email. Those are useful foundations to preserve.

The principal content weakness is the distance between broad benefits and a buying decision. The homepage describes AI’s potential but provides limited detail about engagement outputs, who the service suits, how delivery progresses or what a pilot must prove. The contact invitation could be more specific about the conversation a prospective client should expect.

The retrieved page representation repeats headings and article entries. This may reflect responsive or carousel markup rather than what users see; it should be investigated rather than assumed to be a visible defect. The readiness link resolved back to the homepage in this review, so its existing destination and flow need checking before launch.

The mock-up replaces the long opening explanation with a concise proposition, service deliverables, example workflows, a delivery process and engagement options. It preserves the two verified article titles, dates and links rather than inventing new publications. The changes are design and copy recommendations, not claims about measured conversion improvements.

## Competitive comparison

| Provider | Published emphasis | Concrete evidence or offer on reviewed page | Lesson for AiQ |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Faculty | End-to-end strategy, design, infrastructure, development, operations and change | Named impact stories; training differentiated for boards, executives and technical leaders | Explain delivery depth and adoption support. Build verified evidence when permission is available. |
| Satalia | Business-aligned roadmaps carried into implementation | An educate, explore and report sequence; links to related case studies | Show how a strategy becomes an actionable programme and connects to business priorities. |
| Codec | Implementation, process optimisation and machine learning with a Microsoft/Azure orientation | Explicit technical ecosystem and change-management emphasis | Describe integration with clients’ existing environments while retaining AiQ’s independent platform choice. |
| Augustova | Founder-delivered SME consulting with fixed pricing | Audit £2,500–£6,000; written roadmap, ROI model and backlog; own-product examples | Make outputs, ownership and commercial scope tangible. Fixed fees alone are not a differentiator. |
| Quantum Craft | Engineering-led advice for SMEs and funded startups | Readiness assessment from £4,950 excluding VAT; defined stages and fractional technical leadership | Connect senior technical judgement to a staged decision process. Senior leadership is also present elsewhere. |
| The AI Consultancy | Fixed-fee readiness, pilot and build engagements; specialist Claude enablement | Readiness from £3,500; pilot from £15,000; build-and-embed from £40,000, excluding VAT | Give buyers understandable entry points and clarify the boundary between a pilot and production. |

## What the comparison implies

Strategy, implementation and training are category expectations. AiQ should retain them, but those labels alone do not explain why someone should choose the firm. “Practical,” “measurable,” “vendor-neutral” and “fixed-fee” also appear across reviewed suppliers. Avoid presenting any one of these as unique.

The more useful position is a specific combination: senior technical judgement accessible to smaller businesses, the ability to carry an idea into delivery, and practical adoption support. This is a proposed positioning hypothesis based on AiQ’s stated services and the project’s founder context. It should be sharpened with real customer interviews and approved evidence.

Enterprise reference firms demonstrate the importance of proof and complete delivery. SME competitors demonstrate the value of defined starting points, clear commercial scope and buyer-friendly outputs. AiQ should learn from both without implying equivalent organisational scale, accreditations or project history.

## Pricing evidence and recommendation

| Published example | Entry offer | Caveat |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Augustova | Audit £2,500–£6,000; implementation £4,000–£15,000; custom system £8,000–£25,000; training £1,200–£6,000 | Supplier-defined packages; fees exclude VAT. |
| Quantum Craft | Readiness from £4,950 | Starting price, excluding VAT; scope differs from other providers. |
| The AI Consultancy | Readiness from £3,500; discovery/pilot from £15,000; build/embed from £40,000 | Starting prices, excluding VAT; staged engagements have different outputs. |

These are examples of visible supplier prices, not a representative market average or recommended AiQ tariff. Packages differ in scope and cannot be compared on price alone. There is no verified AiQ public package price in the reviewed homepage. Consequently, the mock-up promises an agreed scope and quote instead of inventing a price.

Before publishing price bands, establish delivery effort, data complexity, third-party costs, support, margin, exclusions and VAT treatment. A fixed pilot price should apply to a defined scope, with an explicit change process. Readiness, pilot and enablement names in this concept are proposed productisation of the existing pillars, subject to AiQ confirmation.

## Proposed page journey

| Section | Buyer question | Design response |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Opening proposition | Is this for my business? | Clear audience, outcome-led headline and one main enquiry route. |
| Services | What can you actually do? | Three retained pillars with practical deliverables and detail dialogs. |
| AI in practice | What could this mean in my team? | Function-based tabs showing illustrative inputs, assistance, review and evaluation measures. |
| Approach | How does the engagement work? | Discover, design, deliver and embed, with a useful output at each stage. |
| Starting points | What could I buy first? | Readiness sprint, focused pilot and team enablement with scope-based quoting. |
| Capacity model | Is the opportunity worth exploring? | Editable assumptions and explicit distinction between capacity value, cash savings and ROI. |
| Why AiQ | Why this partner? | Business priorities, independent judgement and adoption, without fabricated credentials. |
| AiQ Lens | How do you think? | Two verified existing articles and a route from insight to a conversation. |
| Questions and contact | What would happen next? | Objection handling, contact details and an email-draft enquiry flow. |

## Copy and offer improvements

Translate technical capabilities into understandable jobs: processing documents, assisting customer service, finding approved internal knowledge and preparing insight. Preserve custom machine learning and data integration within development, rather than reducing the business to a chatbot supplier.

Describe AI agents as part of a controlled workflow. Examples explicitly retain human review for important decisions and measure quality alongside speed. Avoid blanket regulatory-compliance claims or promises that AI always saves money. This review does not validate legal requirements or compliance for individual projects.

Differentiate training by audience and task. Leadership teams need investment and risk clarity; staff need practical exercises on actual work; technical teams need an operating plan. The concept opens with accessible language and leaves deeper technical discussion for service details and scoping.

A founder section is a strong next addition once its copy and photo are confirmed. Grant’s leadership experience and Imperial AI/ML training may support it, but should be described accurately as individual experience and education, without implying an institutional partnership or company accreditation. The current concept does not publish unverified credential badges or a fabricated portrait.

## Interaction and data boundaries

The readiness guide asks five self-reported questions. Its recommendation uses simple branching rules: clarify the problem and baseline first; assess data and responsibilities next; establish an owner if missing; otherwise discuss a pilot. It is not a scored certification, diagnostic instrument or lead-capture system. Answers are not persisted.

The calculator uses: people × weekly hours saved × 46 working weeks × loaded hourly cost × useful-work percentage, less twelve months of software and running costs. Default assumptions are 20 people, 2 hours, £35/hour, 50% useful-work conversion and £400/month. This yields 920 useful hours and £27,400 annual net capacity value before implementation and other change costs. Negative values remain visible. It does not calculate project ROI or payback and does not claim realised savings.

The contact form opens a draft in the visitor’s email application. No enquiry is submitted to a server and no success message claims delivery. A production release should replace this with the chosen submission service, appropriate privacy information, abuse protection and tested delivery. Appointment scheduling is not connected. Article links open the current AiQ site.

## Design system

Use the supplied logo without redrawing its mark. White provides the main canvas; deep navy (#092739) supports contrast; cyan accents connect to the existing identity. DM Sans and Manrope are requested with system-font fallbacks. Before production, fonts can be self-hosted to reduce external requests.

Use a generous desktop grid, clear section hierarchy, consistent borders and restrained corners. The delivery-model visual is an explanatory diagram, not a product screenshot or claimed analytics dashboard. Article covers use editorial typography instead of invented imagery. On smaller screens, navigation collapses, grids stack and function tabs remain usable through horizontal scrolling. Respect reduced-motion preferences, label controls, preserve visible focus and use native dialogs.

The concept prioritises a substantial change in composition and information hierarchy while retaining recognisable AiQ branding. It does not add an unnecessary cookie banner to a preview without analytics or advertising scripts.

## Production priorities

1. Confirm target buyers, proposed engagement names, actual deliverables, scope boundaries and commercial wording.
2. Add two or three approved case studies. Record the initial problem, baseline, implementation, measured outcome, evaluation period and client permission. Do not use illustrative workflows as evidence of delivered work.
3. Confirm a founder profile and professional photograph. Verify public claims, qualifications and any permitted client logos.
4. Connect contact submission and, if wanted, scheduling. Test errors, delivery, privacy wording and accessibility.
5. Inventory existing URLs and articles before migration. Preserve important paths or create explicit redirects. Verify the current readiness destination.
6. Create dedicated service pages if the content supports them. Include unique buyer questions and scope detail rather than repetitive keyword copy.
7. Run production browser, accessibility, performance and metadata checks; verify contrast, keyboard operation, image loading and mobile layouts. This mock-up has source-level checks, not a complete browser accessibility audit.
8. Confirm domain, privacy/cookie policies, lawful analytics setup and retention choices. The concept does not replace the current aiqtech.ai site.

## Measurement after launch

Track qualified enquiries and booked conversations as primary outcomes. If analytics is adopted with an appropriate privacy approach, also observe service-detail views, readiness completion and contact attempts. Define “qualified” by fit, business need and decision readiness. Compare against a pre-launch baseline over a meaningful period; do not claim uplift without measurement.
